Komodo National Park is located on the border of two Indonesian province of Nusa Tenggara Timur and Nusa Tenggara Java, and is classified as the area of the Lesser Sunda Islands whose main feature of volcanic origin. Such a volcanic origin and the Komodo National Park are consisting of 26 small and three large islands – Komodo, Rinca and Padar. These islands are mountainous terrain, but that makes them so appealing. The hilly islands in whose foothills is crystal white sand beaches are almost idyllic scene.
Komodo National Park – natural habitat of dragons
Originally establishment of the park was intended to protect Komodo dragon, the largest lizard in the world that can reach a length of three meters. Monitor lizards live only in this area so that their protection is very important, but for several years under the umbrella of protection placed and other flora and fauna of the park. Thus, in Komodo National Park it is possible to find a large number of poisonous snakes, cobras, several species of lizards, but also beautiful animals of which you will not freeze the blood in the veins – horses. In addition to exceptional green environment and a great diversity in the animal world, the already mentioned sandy beaches, specifically in the seabed, you can experience one of the most beautiful experiences – diving along the coast full of corals.
